A peaceful mind is one of the biggest benefits of “getting right with God” by repenting and actively removing sin from our lives. It’s also one of our greatest assets to being a positive, productive person. Vices such as alcohol, drugs and pornography weaken our mental and emotional states by causing emotional disregulation. We call them Vices because they hold us down and prevent growth.
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. – Prov 9:10
When we fear the Lord, we make every effort to enter through the narrow gate as Yeshua says. We put in the work along with prayer. Supernatural wisdom from the Holy Spirt can then begin to flow from a closer connection to the Father. If we vigorously Seek Yahweh with all our heart, mind, body and soul, then he can be found.
For wisdom will enter your heart, and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. – Prov 2:10
